TURNING IDEAS INTO REALITY
Craftsmanship is the foundation of my design process, where technical skills and creativity come together to bring concepts to life. By leveraging a diverse range of techniques and tools, I turn ideas into tangible, functional products that are both visually compelling and purpose-driven. From the precision of 3D printing to the artistry of airbrushing, I combine traditional craftsmanship with modern technologies to create solutions that redefine possibilities.


This arcade machine project showcases a comprehensive application of craftsmanship and creative problem-solving. Starting from a childhood dream, I designed and constructed the cabinet from scratch using CNC-cut wooden panels for precision and uniformity. The process began with cutting and assembling the structure, ensuring stability and ergonomic design suitable for gameplay.The next step involved painting the cabinet with multiple layers for a smooth and durable finish, followed by the application of vinyl decals to replicate the authentic arcade aesthetic. To replace the original thermoformed front panel, I designed and constructed a custom wooden alternative, as thermoforming equipment was unavailable. This adaptation required careful measurement and finishing to maintain the visual integrity of the arcade machine.The project also included integrating an Arduino system to run games, adding custom lighting for a dynamic visual experience, and wiring the electronics, including buttons and a joystick, to recreate the nostalgic arcade gameplay. Finally, meticulous attention was given to finishing touches, including aligning all components and polishing the final product for a professional, functional result.This project represents my ability to blend technical skills, creative solutions, and attention to detail, resulting in a visually compelling and fully operational arcade machine.



Lumitron: A Multifunctional Lighting Experience
Lumitron represents the intersection of creativity, technology, and practicality, fitting perfectly into the Craftsmanship section of the portfolio. Designed to merge the aesthetic inspiration of Tron Legacy with everyday usability, this multifunctional luminary offers a unique and adaptable lighting experience.

Paper and Cardstock Modeling

The Lumitron’s design process began with paper and cardstock models, serving as an efficient and cost-effective way to explore its form and functionality. These lightweight materials allowed for rapid iterations, enabling quick adjustments to proportions, ergonomics, and overall structure. By using this method, I could visualize and refine the lamp’s unique circular shape and balance before transitioning to more permanent materials. This hands-on approach ensured that every design element was carefully considered, laying a strong foundation for the final product.

3D Printing

The 3D printing process was pivotal in bringing the Lumitron’s innovative design to life. Key structural components, including the circular frame and internal supports, were crafted with high precision, ensuring durability and a flawless fit. This method allowed for intricate detailing and rapid prototyping, bridging the gap between concept and functionality. By leveraging 3D printing, I was able to test and refine each element before final assembly, achieving a sleek, futuristic aesthetic that aligns with the product’s multifunctional purpose.

The Lumitron encapsulates the harmony between craftsmanship and technological innovation, demonstrating how traditional techniques and modern tools can converge to create something truly unique. From the initial paper and cardstock models that allowed for quick prototyping and exploration of ergonomic design, to the precision of 3D printing that brought its complex geometry to life, each step of the process was guided by a commitment to both functionality and aesthetics.
The brushed cast iron base stands as a testament to the durability and elegance achievable through meticulous craftsmanship, while the multifunctionality of the Lumitron exemplifies adaptability. Whether it illuminates a room as a stationary luminaire or transforms into a portable lantern during a power outage, its design responds to practical needs while maintaining an unmistakable aesthetic inspired by Tron Legacy.
This project not only showcases technical expertise across multiple disciplines—ranging from rapid prototyping and 3D printing to metalwork and finishing—but also reflects a philosophy of creating products that blend creativity with purpose.
